Wildflour Cafe + Bakery: Classy and Homey Dining Experience

Wildflour Cafe + Bakery has been receiving great reviews from food lovers and the food blogging community ever since its inception way back in 2012. And it is really not a surprise because this cafe + bakery indeed offer high quality food and dining experience.

I have only eaten here twice – once in Podium and in BGC – but it made a great impression. True to its word, Wildflour offers “delicious premium-priced food and efficient service married with the perfect ambiance.” Can this be close to a Michelin-star restaurant? Well, maybe. One of its partners is Walter Manzke, a three Michelin-star chef. Surely, he is bringing in his experience and style to Wildflour.

The resto offers different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of their food items, however, are served in specific branch.

Tarte Flambées

I’ve tried their Tarte Flambées at Podium, which is like a thin crust pizza topped with smoked salmon, capers and dill. Served with fresh lemon. But I am not sure if they still offer this one as I am not seeing it in their online menu.




Pumpkin Soup

The pumpkin soup has coconut milk, kaffir lime, mushroom and cilantro. For some reason, this soup reminds me of Thailand.

Lasagna Bolognese

Their lasagna bolognese is served on a skillet. It has ground beef, Italian sausage, mozzarella and tomato sauce. On the side is a crusty bread that you can dip into the cheesy sauce and clean up some left over later.

Squid Ink Mafaldine

Their squid ink mafaldine is my ultimate favorite. This is a squid ink pasta dish with prawns, clams and squid. Squeeze that slice of lemon to add some zest.

The black hue may not be that attractive but don’t take the color to judge the plate. Every bite of this squid ink mafaldine is perfection. The flavor is not too bold, there is a right balance of flavor, and the distinct seafood taste and the chewy texture of all the ingredients makes everything on this dish awesome.

Mafaldine, by the way, is a type of pasta noodles. It is also called Reginette, Mafalda or Mafalde.

Wildflour Salad

The Wildflour Salad is a protein packed serving of roast chicken, salami, mozzarella, cucumber, tomatoes, and greens; topped with poached egg. This is a protein overload, perfect who are on keto diet.

Roast Organic Chicken

Roast organic chicken is served with mashed potato, organic carrots, bacon lardon and sauce coq au vin. It is very flavorful and the chicken is very tender that you can easily pull the meat from its bone.

Carrot Cake

Wildflour’s carrot cake is a bomb! It’s the best carrot cake ever. This slice of decadent dessert is so delicious that you may not want to eat any other carrot cake again. Ok, that may sound too much. But that’s me saying, better try it.

This piece of heaven on earth is a moist carrot cake with walnuts and cream cheese frosting in between.

I hope I can order a slice and have it delivered through Grab or Honestbee just to satiate my cravings.
