Baked Sushi is one of the latest food craze. There was a point in my Facebook feed that it got inundated with baked sushi photos from friends and sellers, and sponsored ads. Gladly, there are keto versions. So, I was a very willing victim to this trend. I gave in to this temptation and never felt remorseful.
I purchased my keto baked sushi from Keto Diet PH. And oh man, it really taste so delicious. They say it is good for 2 to 3 people. But oh my, my voracious appetite kicked in, and I finished the entire thing in one sitting. But because it is keto, I feel less guilty.
It is that delicious. And don’t take my word for it. Try it!
What Not to Eat During Keto Diet
Let me say this out loud first: I’m not doing a strict keto. Technically, I can eat small portions of anything. But, of course, as much as possible, I want to stay away from carbs and sugar.
I replace my sugar with stevia. I rarely eat fruits. I replace rice with shirataki noodles or shirataki rice. But as replacement to shirataki products since these can take a toll in my budget, I just eat more veggies instead mostly lettuce and cucumber. Big composition of my diet is meat.
So, going back to the question of what is not to eat during keto diet, let me take the answer from DietDoctor.com.
Here’s what you should avoid on a keto diet – foods containing a lot of carbs, both the sugary and the starchy kind. This includes starchy foods like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. These foods are very high in carbs.
If you’ll do your own sushi bake, since rice is a NO, you must replace it with shirataki rice or cauliflower.
Check out AsianFoodNetwork.com’s Surf & Turf Keto Sushi Bake for a cauliflower version.
ThePeachKitchen.com created keto baked sushi using shirataki rice.
COVID-19 Pandemic and the Growing Number of Health-Conscious People
COVID-19 pandemic has tremendously affects people’s lives globally. Because of that, our world would never be the same again. Some experts claimed that this is going to be an onset of a much bigger change as humanity marches towards the new millennium.
We feel so helpless nowadays. With most of us being trapped in our own homes and living everyday with the uncertainties (about our jobs, life, economy – apparently, everything) the only thing that we can control is our own thoughts, our health, and our home. When everything else is in chaos (like what this pandemic is doing to our society), we have to focus on ourselves and keep our sanity. Whatever that feels good to our soul, let’s do that.
Some people spend time doing their hobbies. Others start their journal as therapy. For people with busy brain, writing is really a great release. Other people start their own health journey.
This radical change going on lead more people to become health conscious. The one good thing that this COVID-19 is teaching us is to stay healthy – both physical and mental.
To cater the increasing population of conscious eaters, new entrepreneurs emerge to cater the needs. This is really a great news because now, we can easily find healthier food options. You can find them mostly on Facebook.
